NAWBO California Business Women Meet With Governor Schwarzenegger in Sacramento
Ontario, CA (April 19, 2005) – Ann Ronan, Ph.D., Owner of Authentic Life Institute and member of The National Association of Women Business Owners – California (NAWBO-CA), met with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Monday to discuss business issues that are impacting California.
The delegation was in Sacramento for the NAWBO-CA Legislative Action Summit. The group spent two days in the capital to meet with legislators to discuss issues such as healthcare, workers compensation, preschool for all, unemployment, and the governor’s reform package.
The governor spoke about the importance of government being run like a business and the need for accountability in politics. He also urged the group to continue letting their voice be heard at the state and local level.
The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is the only dues-based national organization representing the interests of established women entrepreneurs who own all or part of their businesses. NAWBO-California, a consortium of the nine chapters located throughout the state, represents the interests of more than 1.2 million women in California who own businesses generating more than $400 billion in sales (Source: 2004 Center for Women’s Business Research).
