My Unique Brilliance is inviting the authentic self to emerge in each person I meet. I do this by listening deeply AND lightly and asking powerful questions. I reconnect people to their essential selves through my enthusiasm, possibility thinking, writing, speaking and information products.
- I worked in many different careers, the last one in healthcare before my entrepreneurial spirit shouted loud enough for me to listen.
- I quickly realized that my ideas and spiritual perspective about how to create a life I love with plenty of money, time and freedom by running my own successful business, was something valuable I needed to share with others.
- I insist on learning from the very best.
- I believe we can succeed beyond our wildest dreams.
- I know we’re worth far more than we give ourselves credit for.
- I am an enthusiastic fountain of ideas and possibilities for those looking to create work they love.
- I am one of those neat-‘n-tidy people.
- I feed my soul by working often at the ocean.
- I love when a client acknowledges their true passions and takes action to achieve her goals.
My Before and After Story…
For years I thought success meant hard work and only so much money. I never dreamed of making a six figure income doing work I love! To be fair, I did enjoy my work, especially being involved in a 10 million dollar National Institute of Health grant project with Brown University in Providence, RI and as Director of Academic Development with the Department of Family Medicine with Loma Linda University Medical Center where I continue to serve as adjunct faculty.
Then in 2000, a combination of a divine discontent that had been stirring in me for 18 months (and scaring the pants off me), saying “you can have your own business and you would be happier” and the need to travel from my home in Southern California to RI to be with family, gave me the push I needed to resign my university position. Since then, I’ve designed my business around my life, not the other way around.
And now… I work just 4 days a week. I enjoy between 8 and 10 weeks off every year to relax and rejuvenate. I spend one week every 90 days focused exclusively on innovating new programs, products, and services for my business.
Learning to delegate is one of the keys to my 6-figure success. I have a fabulous support team who takes care of all the other aspects of my business, which gives me enormous freedom and peace of mind. I have multiple, profitable revenue streams that feed each other. I enjoy a healthy six figure income that has increased each year – in 2008 I saw an increase of 36% in revenue and am on target to increase it by another 50% in 2009!
How do I do it?
I have learned and applied the principle that my outer world is created by my inner world. I know that my expectations, beliefs and goals I set influence what happens in all aspects of my life. I give my inner world attention each day by reading something inspirational first thing, reading my written down goals, visualizing how my day unfolds beautifully and with a 3 minute meditation. Doesn’t take long but makes my world work.
I then take step by step actions that I’ve learned from the best and will share with you in my products and services!
When I’m not writing, speaking, coaching …
My husband Ted and I on our wedding day 11/12/08, on a cruise ship with San Diego in the background.
Ted and I live in San Juan Capistrano, CA (we call it Paradise) where the swallows return from Argentina each March to one of the historical California Missions here. There is a bike path and creek behind our home, always filled with ducks and other sea birds. We are within 10 minutes walking distance of a village where we get most of our services and shopping done – some great restaurants too! We can ride our bikes 3 miles to beautiful Dana Point Harbor and enjoy the ocean.
We hardly ever drive except when we visit our little oceanfront jewel of a home, south of Rosarito, Mexico. We have an affectionate, lovable Siamese cat, Allie. We both love sports – I’m a rabid Boston Red Sox fan (he roots for them too though his home team is the San Diego Padres) and we both play fantasy football. We enjoy traveling and plan to see more of Europe in 2010.
